The Nissan Qashqai is a compact crossover SUV. Launched in 2007 the first generation impressed buyers who were looking for a less aggressive and smaller SUV for the family. The second generation was released in 2014 and Nissan is currently selling the third generation. It's almost unpronounceable name was the basis of a hilarious ad campaign and is the name of a tribe of people who live in the mountainous area of Central and South Western Iran.
The third generation arrived in 2021 and uses the Renault-Nissan Common Module Family C/D (CMF-CD) platform. It is constructed of more lightweight materials and advanced stamping and welding techniques to increase strength and reduce weight. The aluminium bonnet, front fenders and doors are 21 kg lighter.
The Nissan Qashqai for sale is a popular family car that's reliable with low running costs. Spares are easy to find - as are mechanics who know Nissans well. The diesel models are reputedly the most economical to run.
